Celebrate
Sometimes you just have to go out and celebrate. Check out a festival, go to an event, or just head to a spa and pamper yourself. Life is short, take some time for yourself. Come to Blyth and have some fun!
Blyth Friday is a shop local event that happens in Blyth every year on Black Friday. It’s meant to encourage supporting local businesses on a day that traditionally promotes online or big box store shopping. Shops in Blyth are open late, there are fun activities for kids, carollers and much more. It’s a great way to get your Christmas shopping started early and support local businesses at the same time.

Some places have tall buildings, sports teams, or museums to entertain, here in Blyth we have the Rutabaga Festival. Blyth is the largest producer of Rutabagas in Canada, so why not celebrate that? The Blyth Community Betterment Committee, along with support from local businesses, host several family fun events such as baseball, music, camping, local vendors, kids’ zone, Rutabaga Cooking Contest and more. Check us out the second weekend of June!
Blyth Community Betterment Committee welcomes you to the Hometown Holiday. It all begins with a Santa Claus Parade on the second Saturday of December at 11am. Friends and neighbours gather along main street to watch floats, bands and of course Santa make their way through our village. Main street is busy with activities and treats. Visit Santa for a photo.
